An earthquake of 5.0 magnitude hit Tibet area at around 1.46 pm on Wednesday, National Centre for Seismology said. However, USGS said the magnitude was 5.1 and its epicentre was at 115 km NE of Joshimath in Uttarakhand.

However, no loss of life and property has been reported so far from Tibet.
