Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat on Tuesday visited the residence of Gunjan Shrivastva, who was ghastly murdered in Dehradun in broad daylight and offered his condolences.
As Rawat visited the house in Dehradun city, Gunjan’s mother cried inconsolably making the scene very poignant. Rawat tried to console her.
“May God grant peace to Gunjan’s soul and give her mother, brother, and family the strength to bear this unbearable grief,” Rawat said.
Gunjan Shrivastva (22) was ghastly murdered by a known acquaintance moments after she parked her two-wheeler in the Machchhi Bazar area in the broad daylight. After the murder, the girl was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead by doctors.
