Amidst a new Sanatan Dharam awakening in India, Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan on Thursday said India’s identity is rooted in its Sanatan culture.
“India’s identity is rooted in its Sanatan culture. The four monasteries established by Shankaracharya are symbols of the country’s spiritual unity. The God is one, and His manifestation is through various faiths,” Khan said in a conference of saints in Haridwar.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that all the saints, religious leaders, and devotees present, who are living symbols of Sanatan consciousness, have gathered in the Saptarishi area on the holy banks of Mother Ganga to contribute their invaluable service to the nation and its culture. He said that the great personalities who dedicated their entire lives to national duty, service, sacrifice, and compassion were not merely ascetics, but divine saints connected to the national consciousness.
The Chief Minister said that Swami Satyamitranand Giri Maharaj presented a philosophy of life that combined spiritual knowledge with social service, inspiring countless people to follow the path of service and humanity. He established the Bharat Mata Temple, working to preserve Sanatan culture and traditions, which remains a source of inspiration for devotees even today.
The Chief Minister said that the state government has enacted anti-conversion laws, strict anti-riot laws, and taken strong action against Jihadi mentalities such as land jihad, love jihad, and spit jihad. He said the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) has been implemented in Uttarakhand, establishing equal laws for all citizens. A strict anti-cheating law has been implemented to secure the future of the youth, resulting in more than 28,000 young people receiving government jobs through a transparent process.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that the Bharat Mata Temple located on the banks of the Ganga in Haridwar is a symbol of the country’s cultural consciousness. He said that preparations are underway for the 2027 Kumbh Mela.
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said that India has witnessed unprecedented transformation in recent years and has today become the world’s fourth-largest economy. He said that there has been rapid development of water, land, and air routes, and the youth are leading the country towards becoming a developed nation. The saint community is working to strengthen Indian culture and unite the country.
