Nearly 40 students from Tamil Nadu escaped unhurt when the bus in which they were travelling caught fire in Dehradun in the morning, police said.
The fire incident occurred at around 1100 hours at Shimla Bypass Road in Dehradun when the bus caught fire apparently due to some short-circuit.
All the students of a Madurai University managed to escape without any injuries, police said.
Immediately fire tenders were called in to douse the blaze which partially damaged the bus.
