Ajay Rana and most of the candidates on his panel registered a resounding victory in the Uttaranchal Press Club, Dehradun, elections held on Tuesday.
In the counting of votes, which continued till early Wednesday, Ajay Rana was elected as president defeating Giridhar Sharma by a margin of 103 votes. Rana had previously held the post of the club President twice.
Yogesh Semwal won the post of General Secretary, Manish Dangwal, Treasurer, Gajendra Singh Negi Senior Vice President, Soban Singh Gusain Junior Vice President, Shivash Sharma and Meena Negi Joint Secretaries and Vijay Joshi won the post of Auditor.
Additionally, Manwar Rawat, Rashmi Khatri, Manmohan Lakheda, Manoj Singh Jayada, Virendra Dangwal Parth, Himanshu Joshi, Harish Thapliyal, Omprakash Joshi, and Sulochana Payal were elected as executive committee members.
