A woman died after she fell from a hill in Gauchar area of Chamoli district of Uttarakhand on Saturday evening, police said.
The woman has been identified as Kiran Devi (38), a resident of Rawalnagar in Gauchar, who had gone to collect fodder in the jungles where she suddenly slipped and fell from a hill. She was later rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead.
The body was later handed over to the district police for necessary legal procedures.
