A young woman, who was a drug-addict, was found dead at Chunabhatta area in Dehradun on Monday, police said.
The body of the woman who has been identified as Shivan Arora (26) hailing from Surajbasti area in Dehradun, was found in a desolated room in Chunabhatta.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the woman apparently died due to overdose of drugs as there were no injury marks on her body. “She apparently died on Saturday-Sunday,” a police official said.
A postmortem of the body is being conducted.
Senior police officials visited the area to take the first-hand information. Shivani, a mother of two year old child, had recently returned home after staying in a rehabilitation centre. Shivani’s husband is also a drug-addict, police claimed.
