A 40-year-old woman from New Delhi died under suspicious circumstances in the industrial town of Rudrapur in Udhamsingh Nagar district of Uttarakhand, police said on Thursday.
Jyoti Sharma, a resident of the posh Lodhi Road in New Delhi, was taken ill after she checked in at Radisson Blu hotel near Rudrapur city with her business partner, Amit Chaudhary.
Sharma was rushed by Chaudhary to a hospital where she was declared brought dead.
After getting information, the police immediately swung into action and sent the body for postmortem. A detailed investigation has been launched into the death of Sharma, a top police official said.
Preliminary investigations revealed both Sharma and her business partner were on the way to Kainchidham and had stopped for night stay at Radisson Blu Hotel.
