World no 10 Daniil Medvedev smashed his racket several times during a 6-0 6-0 loss to Italian wildcard Matteo Berrettini at the Monte Carlo Masters on Wednesday, as the former top seed suffered his first defeat without winning a game on the clay.
In the US open in 2025, Medvedev had destroyed his racket by repeatedly smashing it. He is likely to face fine this time also.
