Two youths were killed after their bike collided with a speeding vehicle near Alipur village in Haridwar district of Uttarakhand.
The accident which occurred on Friday night was so severe that the motorcycle immediately caught fire. Both youths riding the bike died on the spot.
The driver fled immediately after the collision. The police are currently scanning nearby CCTV footage in an effort to nab the driver.
The deceased have been identified as Rahul and Rajkamal, both residents of Alipur village in Haridwar district.
