Seventy five students of Doon university have been selected by reputed multinational companies and leading institutions of the country.
Commenting on the achievement, Vice Chancellor of Doon University, Prof. Surekha Dangwal, said that successful student placements have always remained among the top priorities of the university. She stated that every department of the university is continuously working to provide students with employment-oriented skills and prepare them according to the requirements of the industry. The university has been working for a long time on an outcome-based education system, under which special attention is given not only to theoretical education but also to industrial readiness, training activities, professional skills, personality development, and employment-oriented training.
This is the reason why students of the university are continuously making their strong presence in national and international companies. Lauding the role of the Training and Placement Cell and the heads of various departments of the university, she said that due to their coordinated efforts, students are receiving better employment opportunities. She also said that the university is continuously strengthening its relations with industries so that students can receive maximum opportunities.
After the first round of the placement drive, more reputed companies are expected to participate in the campus recruitment process in the coming days. The total number of selections is expected to increase further this year. The Vice Chancellor praised the hard work, discipline, and dedication of the students and said that students of Doon University are today showcasing their talent in national and international companies, which is a matter of pride for the entire Uttarakhand.
