Uttarakhand police on high alert in view of Id

The Uttarakhand police was on high alert in view of Id Ul Zuha which will be celebrated on May 28.

The security measures were tightened in parts of the state as Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami recently said that namaz on roads would not be allowed.

In the hill resort of Nainital, a high alert was sounded with drones being used by the police to keep watch on the situation. SSP Nainital Dr Manjunath T.C. held meetings to review the security arrangements in Nainital

To ensure that the Id is celebrated in safe, peaceful, and mutually harmonious atmosphere, Dr. Manjunath also convened a review meeting with all senior police officers and station in-charges of the district.

In Dehradun, the SSP Dehradun Pramendra Dobal said adequate security arrangements have been made in view of the Id. The entire Dehradun city has been divided into 5 Zones, 11 Sectors, and 35 Sub-sectors.

Additional police forces have been deployed in sensitive areas. Police are also maintaining a constant, vigilant watch over social media platforms.

In Haridwar and Udhamsingh Nagar also, adequate police force has been deployed in sensitive areas in view of the id.
