Doon varsity to conduct entrance test on Jul 7,8

Doon University will conduct its Entrance Examination for the Academic Session 2026–27 on two days — July 7 and July 8 in three sessions each day at various examination centres.

On 7 July, the first session (9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.) will be held for admission to B.Sc. Applied Psychology, B.A. Economics, M.A. English, and M.Sc. Chemistry programmes conducted on the university campus. The second session (12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.) will be for B.Sc. Geography and B.B.A. programmes. The third and final session (3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.) will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode at various centres for B.A. English, Design, M.Sc. Applied Psychology, M.Sc. Computer Science, and M.Tech. Computer Science programmes.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Surekha Dangwal said that it is a matter of pride for the state of Uttarakhand that Doon University has been awarded the NAAC ‘A’ Grade, establishing itself among the country’s prestigious institutions of higher education. Owing to its academic excellence, the university continues to witness increasing interest not only from students of Uttarakhand but also from other states across India. This year, the university has received more than 5,000 applications from candidates seeking admission to its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The entrance examinations for these programmes will be conducted on 7 and 8 July in CBT mode. Besides Dehradun, the examinations will also be held in Haldwani, Lucknow, and Delhi.

On 8 July, the first session (9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.) will be conducted for B.Sc. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biological Sciences programmes. The second session (12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.) will be for admission to the Foreign Languages programmes, including B.A. Japanese, Spanish, French, Chinese, and German. The third and final session (3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.) will be held for B.A. Media and Communication and B.Com. programmes.

The Vice-Chancellor informed that admit cards are available for download from today on the university’s official website. She urged all candidates to download their admit cards, carefully follow the examination guidelines, and reach their allotted examination centres well before the reporting time.

She further informed that four examination centres have been established in Dehradun: St. Xavier’s School, Canal Road; Children’s Academy, Tagore Villa; River Rain Public School, Brahmanwala (Majra); and the Doon University campus. In addition, entrance examinations will also be conducted at Blooming Dales Public School, New Delhi; Jai Arihant Group of Institutions, Haldwani; and N.E.S. Digital Zone, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow.
