NASA’s Artemis II mission to the Moon was successfully launched from Kennedy Space Center’s Launch Complex 39B in Florida at 6:35 p.m on Wednesday.
The four-person crew will go on a 685,000-mile, 10-day journey around the moon, also known as a lunar fly-by.
Artemis II is a lunar flyby mission under the Artemis program. Launched from Kennedy Space Center, the ten-day mission is intended to carry NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Christina Koch, along with Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen, on a free-return trajectory around the Moon and back to Earth.
