Uttarakhand to observe Earth hour on Mar 28 between 8.30 PM & 9.30 PM

The Uttarakhand government has decided to observe ‘Earth Hour’ on March 28, 2026, from 8:30 PM to 9:30

PM. During this period, the residents of the state have been urged to switch off all non-essential lights and electrical appliances for one hour.

This initiative is being undertaken with the objective of conserving natural resources, maintaining ecological balance, and raising awareness regarding a better future for coming generations. This campaign is being organized in response to a communication received from WWF India, New Delhi.

Appealing to all citizens of the state to actively participate in this global environmental initiative, a call has been issued to switch off non-essential electrical appliances for one hour during the designated time slot.
