Bollywood star Aamir Khan tied the knot with his longtime partner Gauri Spratt in an intimate ceremony at his Bandra residence on Sunday, marking a new chapter in the actor’s personal life. The private wedding was attended by close family members, a handful of friends and the couple’s children from their previous marriages.

The couple, who had been in a relationship for over two years, chose to keep the celebrations simple, opting for a home ceremony instead of a lavish Bollywood affair. Days before the wedding, Aamir had confirmed that the ceremony would be a private event and requested fans and the media to bless the couple.

Several prominent personalities were seen arriving to congratulate the newlyweds despite heavy rain in Mumbai. Business tycoon Mukesh Ambani, filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, comedian Vir Das, former cricketer Irfan Pathan and Maharashtra politician Raj Thackeray were among those who attended the celebrations. Reports said the couple’s children also played a special role in the ceremony, making it a heartwarming family occasion.

This is the 61-year-old actor’s third marriage. Aamir was first married to Reena Dutta, with whom he has two children, Junaid and Ira. Following their separation, he married filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005. The two announced their separation in 2021 but have remained close friends and continue to co-parent their son Azad while collaborating professionally.

Aamir made his relationship with Gauri Spratt public last year during his birthday celebrations. Since then, the couple has largely kept their relationship away from the spotlight. Their decision to exchange vows in a quiet, family-centric ceremony reflected the actor’s preference for privacy over grandeur.

With the wedding now complete, fans across the country have flooded social media with congratulatory messages, wishing the couple happiness as they begin their new journey together.
