The CBI on Friday said they have arrested Suman, an Assistant Professor, in the Uttarakhand Graduate Level Examination Paper Leak Case.
Two others Mohd Khalid and his sister Sabiha have already been arrested in the case. “Investigations conducted so far have revealed that the the Assistant Professor (Suman) had assisted the accused person (Mohd Khalid) in solving the paper received through his sister (Sabiha) during the exam and sent the solution to the accused person who was appearing in the exam. Investigations are continuing on day to day basis,” CBI said in a statement.
The Uttarakhand government had earlier suspended Suman, assistant professor in Tehri district following the paper leak of the September 21 exam. The arrest came after the CBI started investigating the case.
In September end, the state government has recommended the CBI probe in the paper leak following an indefinite dharna by the unemployed youths in Dehradun.
However, the indefinite dharna against the Sept 21 question paper leak of the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) graduate-level examination was called off after Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami accepted the major demands of the agitated youths, including the CBI probe.
