Newly appointed Uttarakhand Congress President Ganesh Godiyal on Sunday expressed his apprehension that the Pushkar Singh Dhami government would adopt the Bihar strategy to come back to power in the hill state in 2027.
“What is the key to the Bihar elections? The key is that after the code of conduct was imposed, 75-80 lakh women of Bihar were given Rs 10,000 each,” said Godiyal adding he has no doubt that in 2027, the BJP government in Uttarakhand will also adopt the same strategy to win.
He asked the Pushkar Singh Dhami government that if it is so compassionate towards women, then instead of giving them Rs 10,000 at the time of elections in 2027, deposit Rs 50,000 in their accounts for the entire five years. He also assured that if the Dhami government did not pay them the full amount to women, the Congress will pay the remaining Rs 40,000 to them once the party comes to power.
