The Congress continued its protest against the appointment of Dushyant Kumar Gautam as Sikkim Governor, holding a bike and scooter rally under the leadership of Uttarakhand party in-charge Kumari Selja in Dehradun on Friday.

The protest was linked to the Ankita Bhandari murder case, with the Congress objecting to Gautam’s appointment over allegations and claims surrounding the case. The state party president Ganesh Godiyal said its struggle to secure justice for Ankita, a young woman from Uttarakhand who was murdered in 2022, would continue.

In a message accompanying the protest, the Congress reiterated its resolve to raise its voice against injustice and demand justice for Ankita.
