Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday flagged off a 42-seater aircraft service by Alliance Air between Dehradun and Pithoragarh from Jollygrant Airport.

The air connectivity between the two centres had remained disrupted for many months due to various reasons.

Speaking on the occasion, Dhami said with the launch of the 42-seater aircraft connecting Dehradun to Pithoragarh on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, the journey can now be completed in just one hour.

The Chief Minister said the Pithoragarh airport is being redeveloped with an investment of Rs 450 crore.
