An Indigo flight coming from Mumbai to Dehradun on Sunday evening suffered a bird hit but all passengers were safe, officials said.

The IndiGo flight IGO 5032, which arrived at Jolly Grant Airport from Mumbai to Dehradun at 6.40 pm today, was damaged after landing on the runway due to a bird hitting its nose. All the 186 passengers of the plane are safe,” a Jollygrant Airport official said.

According to the information, a thorough check was done after the landing of IndiGo’s Airbus 320 at Jollygrant in Dehradun. After the safe arrival of the passengers, a team of officials conducted a safety survey of the runway.

IndiGo is making arrangements for another plane for the passengers going to Mumbai from Jolly Grant Airport. This is the second incident of bird hit in less than one month.
