After the landslide victory in Bihar, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for bringing positive changes in the work culture in India which he said are helping BJP in elections in a big way.
“The work culture has changed since 2014 when Prime Minister Narendra Modi took command of the country. Today, work is being done with transparency, honesty, and speed, while the needy are receiving assistance,” Dhami said.
Hence, he said the double-engine governments are coming to power because the people are only voting to those who are really performing.
Speaking at a literature festival in Dehradun on Saturday, the Chief Minister said, “Wherever elections are being held in the country, a double engine government is being formed. Haryana has a double engine, Maharashtra has a double engine for the third time, and Madhya Pradesh has had a double engine for several years. Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Delhi have had it in Gujarat for years. Odisha has had it, and Bihar has had an NDA coalition government for years, and there is a double engine (everywhere).”
The Chief Minister said that the work being done on the ground is visible. Dhami said, “People now bring back to power only those who work. Whether I talk about Bihar or anywhere else in the country, only those who work will succeed.”
Referring to the Mahagadhbandhan, the Chief Minister said that it ridiculed the ongoing development work in Bihar as well as the Chhath puja and that the public rejected nepotism, individualism, corruption, jungle raj, and mafia rule.
Dhami also urged the children attending the event, held at a private school, to step forward as leaders in politics and other fields. He said that in this new era, the meaning of politics has changed, and people with good thinking and good work should come forward in this field.
The Chief Minister expected the author of a book on women who have progressed in politics and become inspirations, to also write a book on the women of Uttarakhand. He said that women have played a crucial role in Uttarakhand’s development and progress. Dhami said, “The stories of Uttarakhand’s women’s resilience and efforts, despite the challenges they face, should be brought to the forefront.”
