Schools in Dehradun and some other districts of Uttarakhand will remain closed on Thursday in view of the heavy rains warning, top officials said on Wednesday.
A high alert has already been declared for heavy to very heavy rains in Dehradun and some other districts like Tehri and Nainital of the hill state for Thursday.
Meanwhile, Dehradun is experiencing heavy rains on Wednesday night that 0inundated several areas of the city.
