St Thomas organizes inter-school singing competition

Dehradun-based St. Thomas’ College on Saturday organised an Inter-School Singing competition as a part of the on-going school festival ‘Spectrum-2025”.
The schools participated namely are Carman School, Dalanwala, St. Jude’s School, Summer Valley School, The Tons Bridge School, St. Joseph’s Academy & St. Thomas’ College.
The programme was held under three categories, English Solo Singing, Hindi Duet Singing and English Choir Singing. The singers were restricted to sing songs only
from the 1960 to 1970 era which added a twist in the competition.
The entire campus vibrated with the melodious songs presented by the participants and the music was further embellished with a mesmerising performance of background dancers colourfully dressed.
In the Solo Singing Category, Ashwin Attri of Summer Valley School was declared the winner and the runner-up was Pradhuman Karanwal of Carman School, Dalanwala.
In the Duet Singing Category Ridhima Pratap Singh and Vinayak Uniyal of St. Thomas’ College were declared the winners and the runner-up were Ashmit Masih & Anshika Sharma of Carman School, Dalanwala.
In the Group Singing Category St. Jude’s School was declared the winners and St. Thomas’ College the Runner-up.
The overall winners of the “Spectrum” – 2025 Inter-School Singing Competition was St. Thomas’ College but as being the host school, Summer Valley School was declared the Winners and the Runners-up was Carman School, Dalanwala.
The Chief Guest, Rev. Bro. Jayaseelan S., Principal, St. Georges College, Mussoorie gave an inspiring speech to the students in his address and appreciated the event and graciously gave away the prizes.
Distinguished guests who attended the event were Mrs. Elizabeth Pundir, Ex-Thomasian and Senior Co-ordinator, Carman School, Dalanwala, Mrs. Sonal Chhabra and Ms. Mallika, Ex-Thomasians. The vote of thanks was proposed by the Principal, Mr. R.V. Gardner, Ex-MLA who thanked all the participating schools and their principals for sending the students to
participate in the Spectrum-2025 Inter-School Singing Competition
