Strong earthquake hits Afghanistan, tremor felt in parts of north India

A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 hit Afghanistan and nearby areas on Friday night.

The epicenter of the quake was in Jurm area in Afghanistan which struck around 9.42 PM.

The earthquake was also felt in New Delhi and nearby areas in India. The residents of Delhi and NCR rushed out of their homes as the tremor stuck.

However, no loss of life and property has been reported so far.
