Who will forget the astonishing double century by Glenn Maxwell (201*) that helped Australia to qualify for the semi-finals at the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023? Maxwell saved Australia from the brink of elimination despite suffering from cramps. He fought his way through to stay at the crease and club a double ton that is now the highest individual score in a Cricket World Cup chase.

But this time in the T-20 World Cup 2026, Maxwell and other players miserably failed as Australia, the champions of 2021 edition, was eliminated in the group stage in what appeared to be a shocker for cricket.

India, South Africa and West Indies are the only countries which have remained unbeaten in the T-20 2026. But again, all the three countries are locked in a fierce battle in the Super Group 1.

Meanwhile, after a captivating group stage, it’s time for the much-anticipated Super 8 round of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. The next phase of the competition kicks off on Saturday, February 21, with an exciting clash between New Zealand and Pakistan at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The Black Caps and their Pakistani counterparts renew what has become one of the fiercest rivalries in the international game.
