Youth Cong holds candle march against murders in Dehradun

Uttarakhand youth Congress on Sunday organized a torchlight procession against the deteriorating law and order situation in Dehradun especially in the light of the recent killing of retired Brigadier Mukesh Joshi.

The workers led by state Congress President Ganesh Godiyal began the march from the state Congress head-office towards the nearby Police Headquarters against the spate of murders which have taken place in Dehradun in the past two months.

A large number of youth Congress workers also raised slogans against the BJP government and the police administration.

Addressing the workers, Godiyal alleged the murders in Dehradun over the past two months have created an atmosphere of fear, insecurity, and anxiety among the people.

State Youth Congress Vice President Vineet Bhatt sought a high-level impartial investigation into all the murders that have taken place in Dehradun and demanded strict action against the culprits.

Dehradun Congress president Jaswinder Singh Gogi, party leader Lalchand Sharma and various other leaders joined the protest march.
