Though the date of the Prime Minister’s visit has not yet been finalized, it is believed that he may visit Dehradun on November 11.
In preparation for the President’s proposed visit to Dehradun where she will address the special session, Dr. Rakesh Gupta, Additional Secretary to the President’s Secretariat, held a meeting with senior state government officials and called for the completion of the President’s Park and other ongoing construction projects within the stipulated time. Six horses are being brought to the horse riding arena from Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi as a special attraction in the President’s Park.
A 32-meter-long and 4-meter-wide footbridge has been constructed on Rajpur Road to facilitate easy and safe pedestrian access for visitors to these complexes. Lifts are also provided on both sides of this footbridge, which features traditional mountain architecture.
Kumar Samaresh, Public Relations Officer of the President’s Secretariat, said the newly constructed horse riding arena and foot overbridge are likely to be inaugurated during President Murmu’s visit.
