A 38-year-old man has been murdered on the roadside in Dehradun on Monday evening, police said.
Arun Kumar (38), a native of Paharganj, Delhi, was murdered after a fight with another person at Prem Nagar area. Based on the eye-witness accounts, Ajay Kishore Deoli who fought with Kumar has been arrested by the police. Further investigations are on.
During the fight, the two kicked and punched each other repeatedly following which Kumar collapsed. Kumar, who was found lying on the roadside, was immediately rushed to nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Kumar was living in Dehradun along with his wife and two children in a rented accommodation for the past many years. He was allegedly involved in a murder case and had recently come out of jail on bail after remaining inside for more than three years.
“We are investigating the case further to collect more evidences,” a police official said.
