A pall of gloom descended on the Vishal-Pav village in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand after Arvind Tripathi, an executive engineer in the state-run UJVN Ltd, was killed in a car accident which almost wiped out his entire family.
Tripathi, a civil engineer working in the UJVN’s headquarters in Dehradun, his wife and a son were killed in the accident which occurred on Thursday in Chamoli district. Tripathi’s second son who was also in the car is battling with life in a hospital.
Tripathi had gone to his home village Vishal-Pav to celebrate Diwali along with his three family members that included his wife Anita (51) and two sons Ambuj (24) and Anant (21).
After spending some time in his home village, Tripathi went to his in-law’s house in the nearby Devkhal village. On Thursday, he was returning home when all of a sudden, his car veered off the road and rolled down 100 meter deep.
