India is pulling ahead despite conspiracies being hatched against it and the leadership by foreign nations, Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju has said.
“Conspiracies are being hatched against our country and our leadership, from major to small nations, and plans have been brewing for years, but our country is pulling ahead and will continue to do so,” he said at a function in Dehradun on Monday.
He stressed that incidents like the one in Nepal cannot happen in India because its character and constitution are very different and strong from the rest of the world.
Rijiju said many nations of the world, like the Soviet Union, disintegrated, while our neighboring countries—Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka—also faced many problems. But he said, “People who don’t understand India well say that a coup could happen in our country, military rule could come, and a popular uprising could occur. But I am very confident that such incidents can never happen in India.”
Rijiju said there are basically two reasons for this: first, India’s character is very different from the rest of the world, where religious and rule-abiding people live, and second, our constitution, drafted in two years and 11 months after lengthy debates on every issue, is very strong.
He said, “Our heritage, our background, we Indians are different from the rest of the world. This country can never break or disintegrate. The system is designed in such a way that no matter what happens in the world, India will always survive.”
Rijiju told people that they should not worry about the narrative circulating on social media and should simply remain alert.
He said that everyone knows that for years, major forces within and outside the country have been trying to destabilize the country, whose entire ideology, narrative, and ecosystem are aimed at portraying India negatively in every aspect, damaging its character, and destroying its spiritual identity.
