Four people, including a child, were killed and 20 injured when an Uttarakhand Roadways bus fell into a deep khud near Bhimtal area in Nainital district of Uttarkahand on Wednesday, police said.
Two SDRF teams rushed to the spot for the rescue operation and brought the injured with the help of local people to the road. The SDRF personnel later rushed the injured to the nearby hospitals in Haldwani.
Among those killed included two men, one woman and a child, police said.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed the Nainital administration to speed up the rescue operation and provide best medical facilities to the injured.
