No holidays on Sunday, Raghunath Kiriti Campus to follow Vedic traditions

For the students of Shri Raghunath Kriti Campus of the Central Sanskrit University Devprayag, there will no holiday on Saturday and Sunday now.

Instead, the holidays for this campus will be decided according to the lunar calendar. Under the new arrangement, students will get holidays on Ashtimi, Purnima and Amavasya strictly adhering to the vedic traditions, media reports said.

Under the new guidelines issued by the University authorities, the students will be allowed to speak only Sanskrit inside the campus. For the teaching fraternity, the western dresses have been completely banned in the campus situated in Devprayag area of Tehri district in Uttarakhand, the reports said.

Students will have to wake up as early as 4.30 AM and they will not be allowed to keep mobile phones during nights. All the new rules will come into effect from the new session beginning from June 16.

Meanwhile, BJP MLA Kishore Upadhyaya (Tehri) has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for bringing new changes in India and promoting the rich traditions of India. “Under the leadership of Narendra Modi, India will become great again,” Upadhayaya said.
