Ravinder Jadeja could have taken a chance to hit Shoiab Bashir over the boundary to put some pressure back on England when India had lost eight wickets at Lord’s on Monday. He should have played a game of T-20 at that time as there was very little hope for victory. There is a statement by Sunil Gavaskar also on the same line.

Sad part of the first Test match against England was that India lost despite scoring five centuries. In the second Test, the same team scored 1000 runs and in the third Test at Lord’s India lost by just 23 runs.

Anil Kumble also said Jadeja should have taken a risk and gone after Bashir.

In the end, kudos to Jadeja for scoring a brilliant half century at the time of despair.  In the end India lost but Jadeja won hearts of millions.
