The team of devotional film Hanuman Ansh, which has emerged as one of the biggest box-office surprises of the year after reportedly being made on a budget of just around ₹2 crore and crossing ₹400 crore in worldwide gross collections, visited Kainchi Dham in Nainital on Monday to seek the blessings of Neem Karoli Baba.
Actor Shobhinav Satya, actress Purnima Tiwari and producer Ragini Sona visited the shrine and praised the arrangements and development work at the famous Himalayan spiritual centre.
The film, inspired by the life and teachings of Neem Karoli Baba, has enjoyed an extraordinary theatrical run since its release on August 7. According to box-office trackers, the film had collected ₹325.48 crore net in India and ₹424.24 crore worldwide after 60 days in theatres.
Several media reports have put the film’s production cost at around ₹2 crore, making its reported box-office performance particularly remarkable. Media reports claimed that the film had crossed ₹400 crore worldwide by its 52nd day.
The film’s team also attended the Adi Rangotsav-2026 in Khatima, where they witnessed performances showcasing Uttarakhand’s folk culture, including traditional dances, dhol-damau and other traditional musical instruments.
The team members said Uttarakhand’s natural beauty, rich cultural traditions and spiritual heritage had left a lasting impression on them. They also praised the arrangements for the Char Dham Yatra and appealed to people across the country to visit Uttarakhand’s religious and tourist destinations.
At Kainchi Dham, the team expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for facilitating their visit and said the well-organised arrangements enabled them to have a smooth darshan of Neem Karoli Baba.
The film’s unexpected success has also been drawing increased attention to Neem Karoli Baba and Kainchi Dham. Reports have recently highlighted a surge in visitors to the shrine following the film’s success.
The film’s reported journey from a modest ₹2-crore production to more than ₹400 crore in worldwide gross collections has made Hanuman Ansh an extraordinary low-budget success story.
