Three earthquakes hit Manipur, Arunachal

Three earthquakes have hit Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh areas on Wednesday.

An earthquake of 4.6 magnitude on Wednesday morning hit Kamjong area of Manipur. The quake which struck around 8:59 AM recorded a depth of 90 km, the National centre for Seismology (NCS) said. However, there was no report of any loss of life and property in the area.

Earlier in the morning, an earthquake of 3 magnitude hit Kurung area of Arunachal Pradesh at 6.27 Am. A similar small earthquake with 3 magnitude hit West Kameng area of Arunachal at 02.22 AM.

On Tuesday night, an earthquake of 4.9 magnitude hit Chamoli area of Uttarakhand at 10.23 pm.
