Six members of a family were killed when a Bolero vehicle on Friday plunged into a deep gorge near Devprayag area in Tehri district of Uttarakhand, police said.
A total of seven persons from Haridwar were travelling in the vehicle when the accident occurred. An SDRF team from Srinagar immediately rushed to the accident site and launched rescue operation.
One injured person identified as Aram (16) was rushed to a hospital for treatment.
During the rescue operation, six bodies were recovered. The deceased have been identified as Afzal (49), his brother Gufran (34), wife Sabbu (40), daughter Anamiya (3), son Aman (14), and son Arman (20).
