The BJP will celebrate the 99th birth anniversary of its veteran leader and former deputy prime minister L K Advani on Sunday, November 8. Born on November 8, 1927, Advani will complete 99 years and enter his 100th year.
However, describing Sunday’s occasion as his 100th birth anniversary would be technically incorrect. His centenary or 100th birth anniversary will fall on November 8, 2027, when he completes 100 years.
The distinction between entering the 100th year of life and completing 100 years appears to have caused some confusion in the description of the occasion.
