Geeta Dhami wife of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday kept Karwa Chauth fast and performed its rituals.
In a Facebook post, Dhami said the festival reminded him of the importance of love, dedication and unwavering trust in married life. Describing Karwa Chauth as an integral part of India’s rich cultural heritage, the chief minister said the festival reflected intimacy, mutual respect and trust between husband and wife. He also prayed that the festival would bring happiness, peace, good fortune and prosperity into everyone’s lives.
