Sources

Where appropriate, we identify the source of information. Anonymous sources may be used when the information is in the public interest and the source has a legitimate reason to seek anonymity.

Corrections

If an error is identified in a published report, PrashantNews will review the matter and make an appropriate correction or clarification.

Material corrections may be clearly identified on the relevant article.

Headlines

Headlines are intended to accurately reflect the substance of a story. We do not knowingly use fabricated or materially misleading headlines merely to attract clicks.

Crime and Allegations

When reporting allegations of wrongdoing, we endeavour to clearly distinguish allegations from established facts and, where appropriate, seek the response of the person or organisation concerned.

Being arrested, accused or investigated does not by itself establish guilt.

We endeavour to use photographs, videos and other material lawfully and responsibly. Where required, appropriate attribution is provided.

Opinion

Opinion and analysis should be distinguishable from straight news reporting. Commentary does not necessarily represent the views of PrashantNews.

Independence

Editorial decisions are separate from advertising and commercial interests. Advertisers do not determine the editorial treatment of news stories.
