One person from Punjab die in Ganga, another missing

One person died and another went missing in the fast currents of Ganga in Uttarakhand on Sunday, an official report said.

Shiva (15) was swept away in Ganga at Rishikesh in the morning. A search operation has been launched to trace the boy, who is a resident of Rishikesh.

In yet another incident, Amrit Lal (60) was rescued when he was being swept away in Ganga at Sarvanand Ghat area in Haridwar district in the afternoon. However, Lal, a resident of Malerkotla area in Punjab, was declared dead when he was rushed to a hospital.
