Indian and US Army troops conducted joint training in counter-terrorism operations in the ski resort of Auli in Uttarakhand, carrying out building-clearance and room-intervention drills designed to simulate close-quarter combat situations.
The drills involved assault teams supported by drones, robotic dogs, dog squads and snipers, showcasing the integration of specialised troops and technology in counter-terrorism operations.
US Army personnel also interacted with the participating soldiers and observed the equipment being used during the exercise to gain a better understanding of the capabilities and techniques demonstrated during the drills.
The training further strengthened professional exchange, strategic understanding and interoperability between the two armies, officials said.
