President Droupadi Murmu has appointed 14 judicial officers as judges and additional judges to the Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Jharkhand and Karnataka High Courts.
The appointments were made after consultation with the Chief Justice of India, Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal announced on Saturday.
Of the 14 appointments, seven are for the Delhi High Court, one for the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court, three for the Jharkhand High Court and three for the Karnataka High Court.
Nivedita Anil Sharma and Nisha Sahay Saxena have been appointed judges of the Delhi High Court, while Sanjay Sharma, Bharat Parashar, Aditi Choudhary, Dinesh Bhatt and Arun Bhardwaj have been appointed additional judges. Yash Paul Bourney has been appointed a judge of the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court.
Manoj Prasad, Akhil Kumar and Ram Sharma have been appointed judges of the Jharkhand High Court, while Usharani, K.S. Bharath Kumar and Nerale V. Bhavani have been appointed additional judges of the Karnataka High Court.
