Accident occurred at Baitalghat area in Nainital district

Eight people from Nepal were killed and two injured when a vehicle fell into a deep khud in Nainital district of Uttarakhand, police said on Tuesday.

The accident occurred at Baitalghat area in the district when the vehicle carrying ten persons was going to Mahendranagar area in Nepal from Unchakot area.

A rescue team of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) immediately rushed to the spot and sent the two injured persons to the nearby hospital.

All the eight persons died on the spot.
