Amidst the political heat of the elections, there may be relief from the rising temperature in Uttarakhand.

The met department has predicted possibility of rains and thundershower in the state as the temperature rose considerably. In the next 24-48 hours, there is possibility of rains and thundershowers accompanied with squall or hail in some places, the met department said.

The maximum temperature rose to 35.9 degree C in Dehradun on Friday which was not only 3.7 more than the normal but also the highest in the state capital this season. The minimum temperature was 18.6 on Saturday which was slightly 1.8 degree more than the normal.

In the next one or two days, the temperature is likely to fall, it said. Ends
