Man from Huaz Khas Delhi drowns in Ganga near Rishikesh

A man from New Delhi was drowned in Ganga river after he accidently fell from an under-construction transparent glass-floored bridge near the spiritual city of Rishikesh in Uttarakhand.

The accident occurred on Thursday night when 31-year-old Hemant Soni, a resident of Hauz Khas, fell into Ganga from the glass-bridge accidently due to darkness in the area. Soni’s two friends who were accompanying him, immediately informed the police following which a search operation was launched in the night.

However, Hemant Soni could not be found.
