The state-run UJVN Ltd has emerged as the highest corporate income tax contributor among Uttarakhand government public sector undertakings (PSUs) for the financial year 2025-26.
The company was honoured at a function organised to mark the 167th Income Tax Day. On behalf of UJVN Managing Director Ajay Kumar Singh, the award was received by DGM Anupam Gupta, Vinod Nainwal and Senior Accounts Officer Meenakshi Singh from Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax Aparna Karan and Chief Commissioner of Income Tax Sunita Singh.
UJVN paid ₹124 crore as corporate income tax during 2025-26, the highest among all state PSUs in Uttarakhand, the company MD said. He said the achievement reflects the corporation’s strong financial performance, sound corporate governance and operational efficiency.
He said UJVN has been consistently registering profits and expects further growth with the commissioning of new hydropower and other energy projects, which will enhance power generation, revenue and profitability while contributing to Uttarakhand’s energy security and economic development.
Singh dedicated the recognition to the employees of UJVN and said the corporation would continue to focus on transparency, innovation and sustainable development while contributing to the state’s growth.
