Six thousand leaders and workers from the Congress and other opposition parties have joined BJP in Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said on Wednesday.

Referring to the crossing voting by some MLAs in Himchal and Uttar Pradesh, Dhami said all these leaders are not satisfied with the functioning of their governments. He said these parties should introspect to understand why their MLAs are running away and unhappy.

Speaking to the media in New Delhi, Dhami said the BJP is well-prepared to face the coming Lok Sabha elections and a large number of people are seeking party tickets. Keeping in view the development works under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Dhami said people want to contest on BJP tickets. “We will forward all these names to the party high command for the final decision,’ he said.
