Ashok Kumar takes over as VC Haryana Sports varsity

Former Uttarakhand DGP Ashok Kumar on Friday took the charge of the Vice Chancellor of Moti Lal Nehru Haryana Sports University at Rai in Sonepat.
“I want to thank honourable Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar for giving me this important responsibility,” Kumar said in his social media post. “For nearly 34 years, I have served in Uttar Pradesh,Uttarakhand, borders of Pakistan and Bangladesh. This is for the first time that I will be serving in my birthplace,” he said.
Kumar has won police badminton championship and his daughter Kuhu is also a top badminton player. Kumar’s wife Alaknanda is actively involved in the promotion of sports in the country holding various posts in the Olympic associations.
