Thirty people were killed and 36 injured following a stampede during the Mahakumbh at Prayagraj early Wednesday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said. The stampede occurred on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya as a sea of humanity gathered at Prayagraj for the holy dip in Sangam area.
